How to Search This Website
The search box that appears in the upper right on all pages of this website searches across all Stanford University Press books in print as well as our subject and series lists, and our staff contact list. You may search with the ISBN or EAN, or words from the subject, series, title, subtitle, or the author/editor/translator's name. Examples of search criteria:

Google Book Search
We are also proud to partner with Google in providing full-text search of all of our books. The Google Book Search box is available after every search with our regular search box.
A second search box is also available on some book pages, which allows you to search within the text of a particular book. Eventually all of our books will have this capability. Please note that as of Spring 2008 we are in the process of scanning and uploading to Google. Until this process is completed, both features (searching across all books, or within a specific book) will be limited to those books that have been processed. In 2009 and going forward, there will of course be a delay before forthcoming and recently published books are incorporated. Generally, we expect this delay to be no more than a month or two after publication.
Troubleshooting
If your search returns no results, try fewer criteria or change the spelling of a word to one of its variations (English, England, Anglo). Also please note that we only list books that are in print or forthcoming on our site. For assistance in finding other information about the Press, please see our site map.
